This is a ten week multicultural family program for refugee and immigrant parents and their preschool children. The program is offered twice a week at two different language levels.
Parents and children share lunch together and enjoy circle time together. This provides the opportunity to connect with others informally and learn new recipes.
Family literacy activities with the parents and children include dancing, singing, and storytelling, which support first language literacy and cultural pride.
Through ESL and Parenting classes, and interactive activities, parents gain increased knowledge and skills on parenting children in the Canadian context and develop their language and literacy skills.
Children ages 18 months to 5 years of age participate in programming in the Children's Centre which provides diverse opportunities for children to develop language, literacy and social interactions so they are better able to achieve success at home, at school and in the community.

Groups run from 10:30-12:30 on Monday and Wednesday, and 12:00-2:30 on Tuesday and Friday
