Successful refugee transitional housing includes the development of a sense of community among the tenants. In order to do this, the project provides:

• Common areas for gatherings of people
• A range of activities for tenants to participate in, if they choose to do so
• The support of staff who are dedicated in working to resolve the barriers which newcomers experience
• Next-door access to the supportive and comprehensive services at EMCN
• Plans to prepare for independent living
• Links with the wider community.
