Housing for Refugees: There's No Place Like Home

Trinity Manor is an innovative project to provide supported housing for refugees who have been experiencing challenges with integration into life in Edmonton.

This project provides apartment-style affordable housing, support services & ethno-culturally sensitive activities for tenants in order to facilitate a smooth transition to life in Canada.

The building is:

  • A short walk from Catholic Social Services Immigration Service
  • Close to schools, shopping and the Royal Alexandra Hospital
  • On central bus routes.

The building has:

  • A laundry room on each floor
  • A common community area with a kitchen for recreational events, meetings and other larger group activities

Each unit in the building:

  • Is unfurnished
  • Has a kitchen with a fridge and stove
  • Has a common area / living room
  • Has one or two bedrooms.

The goal is to offer a stepping stone to living independently. Trinity Manor is not intended for those with complex issues requiring extensive professional assistance, or for those looking only for low-cost housing.

Participation in the community life of the building is encouraged for all tenants. The service is designed to model interdependence as a means to achieve independent living.
